- Friday Job Description The Material Handler is responsible for providing shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at the assigned facility.
This role ensures that items are processed correctly for storage and/or shipment while maintaining high quality standards. Responsibilities Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements. Verify the quality, type, and quantity of materials received and ensure the appropriate documentation is present. Operate distribution equipment safely and efficiently. Complete training requirements and adhere to site standards, including Control of Documents and Quality Policy. Maintain good communication and customer service skills while interacting with internal personnel. Understand and interpret team metrics and recognize deviations from accepted practices. Essential Skills Minimum of 0-2 years related experience, preferably in logistics with a life science company. Ability to consistently follow policies, procedures, and meet schedules. Competency in operating powered industrial trucks and equipment at various heights. Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software. Additional Skills & Qualifications Some experience in logistics with a life science company preferred. Why Work Here? This role involves highly repetitive tasks such as walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 25lbs continuously, with occasional lifting up to 50lbs.
