Warehouse Worker Job Description Join a fast-paced, clean warehouse environment where you play a direct role in delivering products that support critical scientific and safety work, from personal protective equipment to educational lab tools. In this role, you handle a variety of warehouse tasks, including operating material handling equipment, processing customer orders, and preparing shipments, while helping ensure that inventory is accurate, secure, and ready to ship on time. Responsibilities Operate an electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse. Palletize and securely wrap a minimum of 13 pallets per shift to meet productivity and quality standards. Load outgoing trucks carefully and accurately to ensure orders ship complete and damage-free. Process customer orders daily in alignment with established procedures and timelines to meet service expectations. Work in one or more process paths, including receiving, picking, packing, or shipping, depending on operational needs. Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures, including completing required documentation for hazardous materials. Help ensure inventory is stored properly, organized, and accessible to support efficient warehouse operations. Lift, carry, and push products and materials up to 70 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally as part of daily tasks. Stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach for extended periods while performing warehouse duties. Follow all safety, quality, and operational guidelines, including proper use of equipment and personal protective gear. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when picking, packing, labeling, and documenting orders. Contribute to a team-oriented environment while also working independently to solve problems and complete assigned tasks. Essential Skills Experience operating an electric pallet jack or stand-up forklift (experience with at least one is required). Hands-on experience with palletizing, including wrapping and preparing pallets for shipment. loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse or distribution setting. Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including packaging, picking, and material handling. Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods, including walking, stooping, bending, and reaching. Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 70 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and also perform tasks independently while solving problems quickly. Ability to read and write in English to follow work instructions, labels, and safety guidelines. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (documentation required). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using a cherry picker or similar material handling equipment. Previous experience in inventory control or stock management within a warehouse environment. packaging and labeling, including handling hazardous materials documentation. Comfort working with multiple warehouse functions such as picking, packing, shipping, and receiving. Willingness to complete standard pre-employment screenings as required. Work Environment The role is based in a very clean, fast-paced warehouse environment focused on safety, organization, and efficiency. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with opportunities for overtime as needed. You regularly use equipment such as electric pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts, and potentially cherry pickers to move and stage materials. The work involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the shift, as well as lifting, carrying, and pushing items weighing up to 70 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. The facility follows structured processes for receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and handling hazardous materials, with clear standard operating procedures and documentation requirements.
