Job Title:
Cherry Picker Operator Job Description This role operates a cherry picker lift to accurately pick and move orders within a fast-paced distribution environment. The position focuses on pulling orders by hand and with powered equipment, palletizing products, and supporting receiving activities to ensure efficient and accurate warehouse operations. Responsibilities Operate a cherry picker lift safely and efficiently to pull and move orders throughout the warehouse. Pick orders by hand and with the cherry picker according to pick lists and warehouse procedures. Use an RF scanner to locate, pick, and verify products accurately. Palletize products securely to prepare orders for staging, storage, or shipment. Assist with receiving activities, including unloading, scanning, and organizing incoming products. Maintain accurate order picking and inventory handling to support timely and correct shipments. Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures while operating equipment and handling materials. Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment to meet productivity and quality targets. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience operating a cherry picker lift in a warehouse or distribution setting. Proficiency with order picking, including pulling orders by hand and with powered equipment. Experience with palletizing products for storage or shipment. Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment. Ability to use an RF scanner for order picking and receiving tasks. Basic knowledge of receiving processes in a warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, palletizing, and receiving. Ability to handle heavy materials safely as part of daily warehouse duties. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating a sit-down forklift is a plus. Comfort working with various types of warehouse material handling equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. Work Environment The role is based in a busy distribution facility that operates at a fast pace and handles heavy materials. You work on the warehouse floor using equipment such as cherry pickers, RF scanners, and other material handling tools. The environment involves frequent movement, lifting, and working around racking and pallets. Dress code typically requires practical, safety-oriented attire suitable for warehouse work, including appropriate footwear and any required protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Commerce, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
