Job Title:
2nd shift General Laborer Job Description This role performs a variety of general labor tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including grinding, assembly, loading and unloading materials, and using hand and power tools to support production operations. Responsibilities Perform general labor tasks to support daily production activities in a manufacturing facility. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for grinding, deburring, sanding, and related tasks. Assist with assembly work, ensuring components are accurately and efficiently put together. Load and unload materials and products from production lines, conveyors, and work areas. Prepare parts and surfaces for painting, including paint prep, sanding, and cleaning. Operate and work within a paint booth, including the use of spray guns for painting as needed. Support general production and machine operation tasks as directed by supervisors or leads. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and housekeeping standards. Work efficiently on a conveyor-type system while meeting quality and productivity expectations. Cross-train in multiple tasks and assist coworkers in different areas of the facility as needed. Essential Skills Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a heavy industrial background. Ability to perform general labor and general production tasks in a fast-paced setting. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery and production equipment. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for grinding, deburring, and assembly work. Capability to perform grinding, deburring, sanding, and related finishing tasks. Experience supporting assembly and production operations. Willingness and ability to work on a conveyor-type production system. Capacity to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading materials. Openness to cross-training and supporting multiple functions within the facility. Additional Skills & Qualifications background in heavy industrial manufacturing environments. Experience with paint preparation, including sanding and surface prep. Familiarity with spray guns and working in a paint booth. Comfort working in a very fast-paced production setting. Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist coworkers in various departments. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a door manufacturing facility operating on a conveyor-type production system. The environment is very fast paced, with a strong emphasis on efficiency, quality, and teamwork. You will work around manufacturing equipment, hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment such as spray guns and paint booths. The role requires flexibility and openness to cross-training, as you will assist in various areas of the facility as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
