Job Title:
General Laborer - 2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11pm Job Description This 2nd shift general labor position focuses on performing quality inspections on door hardware components produced by machines. You will visually inspect parts, take measurements, accurately count items, and document inspection results to ensure products meet established quality standards. Responsibilities Perform visual quality inspections on door hardware pieces produced by machines. Use measuring tools, including a tape measure, to verify product dimensions and specifications. Accurately count parts and record quantities in logs or on required documentation. Document inspection findings clearly and legibly according to established procedures. Identify and separate defective or nonconforming parts based on inspection criteria. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and inspection. Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while working on the production floor. Sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive inspection and counting tasks. Work collaboratively with production and inspection team members to meet quality and output goals. Essential Skills Experience performing general labor or production work in a manufacturing or similar environment. Ability to use a tape measure accurately for basic measurements. Basic quality control skills, including visual inspection and measuring. Strong attention to detail to identify defects and ensure accurate counts. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive tasks. Capability to complete basic documentation and record inspection results clearly. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a production worker or inspector in a hardware or manufacturing setting. Comfort working in a small team environment. Reliability and consistency in following established procedures and quality standards. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a small hardware production facility with a team of approximately nine people. The work is performed on-site in a production and inspection area, requiring extended periods of sitting or standing while inspecting, counting, and documenting door hardware pieces. The facility operates on a 2nd shift schedule, and you will work closely with a tight-knit team in a structured, task-focused environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
