If so, Valley Iron is looking for a Receiving Operator to help keep our warehouse and yard operations running smoothly. Every truck unloaded, every order organized, and every piece of material stocked correctly helps our customers succeed—and that's where you come in.

You'll never have to wonder if you got your steps in for the day. What You'll Be Doing As a Receiving Operator, you'll play a key role in receiving, organizing, and moving material throughout our warehouse and yard facilities.
Your day may include:
Unloading incoming delivery trucks safely and efficiently Loading outbound shipments using forklifts, cranes, and other equipment Pulling stock and preparing materials as needed Stocking and organizing inventory throughout the yard and warehouse Inspecting incoming materials and verifying shipment accuracy Identifying materials and matching them to purchase orders and documentation Properly color-coding products according to company standards Sorting sold materials and preparing them for shipment Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas Communicating with supervisors, warehouse staff, and sales teams Learning and handling a variety of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum products Following all company safety procedures and guidelines Assisting with other warehouse-related duties as needed
Requirements:
What We're Looking For Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of forklift and/or crane operating experience Experience using chop saws and propane torches Knowledge of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum products is a plus Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail Ability to read and understand measurements accurately Strong communication and organizational skills Willingness to learn and take on new challenges Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable adapting to changing priorities throughout the day Positive attitude and strong work ethic What the Work Environment Is Like This is not a desk job—and that's exactly why some people love it.
