Material Handler Full Time Non-Exempt MDC Precision is a world leader in delivering high-quality products to the research, semiconductor, aerospace, life sciences, and food processing sectors. Our customers rely on us to provide the precision components that are required for the operation at the atomic scale. We enable innovation by bringing our expertise in vacuum science, ultrapure and ultra-hygienic materials fabrication, and ceramic-to-metal sealing along with our design and manufacturing partnerships- all to enable science to change the world for the better. Function & Responsibility Along with the Operations team, coordinate activities between the multiple manufacturing departments, and with outside vendors, in order to prioritize production activities to achieve the best possible On-Time Delivery performance. Locating and distributing materials to specified production areas, Monitoring work orders to ensure that production runs match work order requirements. Interact with the manufacturing director to understand all aspects of keeping production running smoothly. Interact routinely with all shop managers to assess current materials needs and to address any problems. Must be organized and a good communicator.

Primary Responsibilities:
Review daily job printout for each work center Locate jobs in the staging area and prioritize Review the picklist and make sure everything is needed for the job at that work center Advise production planning if there is not enough work for a day Keep carts and storage shelves clean/orderly Make sure every bin has a label and that it matches the traveler inside Run and release SFC Attend OPS meeting Track walkthrough/quick-turn jobs Communicate between production and planning Run efficiency, capacity, and work center tracking reports Outsourcing activities AX Clocking Downtime activities: Open packaging, prepare and stage welding jobs Assist with warehouse/shipping/logistics/packing Must be a go-getter. Always moving. Able to lift. Walk-in 10,000 steps/day and swiftly Must be very proficient in Microsoft Excel (expert). Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Minimum Qualifications Must be able to lift 20 lbs Able to work extended hours and weekends Must have attention to detail along with a willingness to be cross-trained Dependable in regard to attendance A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred. Solid problem solving, project management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Ability to work under pressure and to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency. Experience with MRP, ERP, and/or Pull Systems (Desirable) Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
