Working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including verifying packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders. Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Forklift certification required. Ability to accurately count, inspect, and document inventory transactions. Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and handheld scanners. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies or damaged goods. Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds regularly. Solid organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Understanding of workplace safety standards and proper material handling procedures. The Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining organized and efficient warehouse operations. In addition to core shipping and receiving duties, this role supports inventory quality control (QC), performs regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and product integrity, and completes rug cutting and trimming tasks according to order specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Inventory Cycle Counting Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving (Primary Responsibilities) Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage. Verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips. Accurately pick, pack, label, and stage outbound orders. Prepare shipping documentation and update warehouse management systems (WMS). Measure, cut, and trim rugs to customer or order specifications. Use cutting tools and equipment safely and accurately. Maintain organized dock areas and proper product storage. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely. Inventory Quality Control (Secondary Responsibilities) Inspect incoming and stored products for defects, damage, or discrepancies. Ensure products meet company quality standards before stocking or shipping. Document and report non-conforming materials to supervisors. Assist in implementing corrective actions to reduce recurring issues. Maintain proper labeling and product identification to prevent errors. Inventory Cycle Counting (Tertiary Responsibilities) Perform scheduled cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and proper stock levels. Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and inventory management systems. Investigate and document causes of inventory variances. Assist in maintaining accurate SKU labeling and location tracking. Support periodic full physical inventory counts and audits. Communicate inventory discrepancies or concerns to management in a timely manner. Work Environment Warehouse and distribution center setting. Exposure to cutting tools and warehouse equipment. Work schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime based on operational demands.
