Full Job Description Schedule:
Monday•Friday 3:30 pm to 12:00 am Industrial Metal Supply is seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various saws and cutting equipment to produce high-quality components according to specifications. Duties Operate saws and cutting machines, including plasma cutters and lathes, to cut materials as per specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements. Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet required standards. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including troubleshooting minor issues. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to cutting processes. Requirements Proven experience in machining or operating saws in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining, press brake machines, and forklift operation is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and perform quality inspections effectively. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Experience with plasma cutting is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You will use the tape measure, calipers or micrometers to confirm material dimensions as requested by our customer On a daily basis you will fulfill many orders in a fast-paced environment, which will include moving material with a forklift, and you may be required to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout your shift.
