This role is responsible for building custom rental products, fabricating new designs, maintaining existing inventory, and ensuring all wood-based rental items meet company quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on carpentry or fabrication experience, strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. This position primarily works in a woodshop and warehouse environment but may occasionally travel to event venues to assist with the delivery, installation, modification, repair, and breakdown of rental inventory. Key Duties & Responsibilities Fabrication & Production Fabricate custom event rental inventory from design concepts, drawings, sketches, and plans. Ensure all products meet company quality standards and industry safety requirements. Safely operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Complete projects within established production schedules and deadlines. Apply stains, paints, sealers, and protective finishes as needed. Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Inventory Maintenance & Repair Inspect rental inventory before and after events for damage, wear, quality, and safety concerns. Identify items requiring repair and communicate maintenance needs to management. Perform repairs, restoration, hardware replacement, and refinishing of wood products. Maintain the appearance, functionality, and structural integrity of all inventory. Assist in extending the life and usability of rental inventory through preventative maintenance. Warehouse Operations & Support Organize, store, and prepare fabrication materials, tools, and inventory. Assist with inventory counts, tracking, and reporting. Load, unload, move, and stage materials and rental inventory. Travel to event venues and warehouse locations as needed to assist with: Deliveries Installations Modifications Repairs Event breakdowns Support other warehouse and operations departments as needed to meet business demands and event schedules. Assist with special projects and company initiatives as assigned. Safety & Compliance Follow all company and industry safety policies, procedures, and best practices. Properly wear and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including: Safety glasses Hearing protection Gloves Respirators Other required safety equipment Operate machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely and responsibly. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards. Participate in safety training and comply with all workplace safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. Qualifications Required 2-5 years of professional experience in: Carpentry Cabinetmaking Woodworking Related fabrication trades Ability to read measurements and work from sketches, drawings, and design plans. Experience safely operating common woodshop machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Knowledge of wood stains, paints, sealers, and protective finishes. Knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and ability to meet production and event deadlines. Professional communication skills when interacting with vendors, clients, and other third parties. Driving Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy and DOT program. Ability and willingness to occasionally drive company vehicles to warehouses and event venues. Physical Requirements The ideal candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
This position regularly requires:
Standing for extended periods Walking throughout warehouse and event environments Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and repetitive motions Pushing and pulling materials and equipment Lifting and carrying materials, equipment, and inventory weighing 50+ pounds Safe operation of machinery, power tools, and warehouse equipment Strong visual, hearing, communication, and decision-making abilities Work Environment Woodshop and warehouse setting Exposure to woodworking equipment, tools, dust, paint, stains, and finishing products Occasional travel to event venues and other warehouse locations Fast-paced environment supporting event production schedules and deadlines Schedule Day shift position. Schedule may vary based on production and event demands and may include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and overtime as needed.
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
