This role involves supporting daily warehouse operations, including inventory handling, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of performing a variety of physical tasks to ensure efficient warehouse performance. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and heavy equipment operation while contributing to a fast-paced logistics environment. Key responsibilities include assisting with inventory management, operating various types of warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and forklifts, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring safe handling of materials, and supporting overall warehouse productivity. 2pm-10pm M-F $17.40hr Weekly pay Responsibilities Support order picking and packing processes to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records Maintain inventory control through regular cycle counts and stock audits Handle shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols Support materials handling activities for manufacturing or construction-related projects as needed Assist in packaging products securely for shipment while adhering to quality standards Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency Follow safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members Experience Previous warehouse experience is highly preferred, especially in distribution or manufacturing settings Familiarity with inventory management systems like AS400 or similar platforms Experience with RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations Mechanical aptitude or basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous for equipment troubleshooting Prior experience in shipping & receiving, stocking, or materials handling roles is desirable Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in advancing into leadership roles Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control processes This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to an energetic logistics environment while developing valuable skills in warehouse operations.
