Mopping Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Bilingual Warehouse Production/Utility Assistant supports the daily operations of a recycling facility by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace and assisting production staff in processing recyclable materials. This role ensures smooth facility operations while adhering to strict safety standards while working with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with customers in a helpful courteous manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse, sorting, and production areas, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and equipment sanitation. Assist with the loading, unloading, sorting, and movement of recyclable materials (e.g., cardboard, plastics, and paper) safely and efficiently. Support production staff in preparing and staging materials for processing or shipment. Operate basic warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and, if certified, forklifts. Monitor and restock supplies used in production, sorting, and facility maintenance. Conduct routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and facility areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards, reporting issues promptly. Assist with minor maintenance tasks or set up equipment under supervision. Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of recyclable materials and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations and production goals. Work with Office staff to achieve daily goals and objectives

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and/or Chinese preferred. Previous experience in a warehouse, recycling, or production environment is a plus. Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely (typically up to 50 lbs). Basic knowledge of warehouse or recycling facility operations. Strong attention to detail, organization, and reliability. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends if required. Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and proper PPE usage. Basic forklift mechanical and maintenance skills and knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements. Ability to work in physically challenging conditions
