Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse Assistant

We are an industrial supply company seeking a full time (M-F / 8am-4:30pm) Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse Assistant to perform physical tasks connected with shipping products and receiving incoming shipments. In performing day-to-day, routine tasks follow established guidelines. In handling unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from a supervisor or other officials. • Efficiently receive products from suppliers and ship products to customers.
• Verifies items received by inspecting condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies.
• Ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped
• Unload and organize shipments in a safe and professional manner
• Ability to manually lift up to 50 to 75 lbs
• Assist Hose Shop Technician with hose assembly, pressure test and certify hoses, as needed.
• Assist Gasket Shop Technician, as needed.
• Assist with maintaining organization and accuracy of inventory, as assigned.
• Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Assumes and performs other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education level
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must have great communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
