Machine Operator / General Labor

Connect Staffing is hiring a Casting Casting Machine Operator for a vinyl sign and graphics manufacturer in Placentia, CA. This is a temp-to-hire evening position paying $20/hr, Monday-Friday 2PM-10:30PM with weekend flexibility required. In this role, you will operate casting machines to produce vinyl films and set up, clean, and monitor wet-end coating equipment. This is a long-term placement opportunity with a hands-on production team in a specialty manufacturing environment.

Manufacturing Plant / Factory Responsibilities Operate casting machines to produce vinyl films according to production schedules and specifications. Set up mixers, pumps, totes, hoses, liners, and adhesives according to work order requirements. Identify coating defects and take corrective action to eliminate the defect. Monitor equipment and adjust process parameters to maintain production quality. Handle and dispose of hazardous waste following facility safety procedures. Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment. Minimum Requirements 6+ months of machine operator or general labor experience in a manufacturing environment. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating coating, laminating, or film extrusion equipment. Familiarity with wet-end processes, adhesive systems, or chemical handling. Ability to read and follow work orders and production specifications. Experience in printing, signage, packaging, or plastics manufacturing. Tolerance for strong industrial odors and ability to comply with facility grooming standards (including no facial hair).
