Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, Surplus Solutions is a world leading provider of Equipment Lifecycle Management (ELM) services focused on procuring and reselling clinical and research laboratory and processing equipment from and to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences and healthcare end-markets. Through a robust and actively cultivated network of sourcing relationships, the Company obtains laboratory, processing and packing equipment across a wide array of sizes and use cases either via outright purchase or through consignment. This equipment is subsequently resold through various channels to a large and diverse buyer universe comprised of life sciences market participants in search of a solution to the various challenges associated with laboratory equipment management and procurement. Position Overview The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in supporting warehouse operations, equipment processing, inventory control, and order fulfillment. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, preparing, and shipping laboratory and industrial equipment within a Surplus Solutions facility. The role ensures efficient warehouse workflow, accurate inventory management, and safe handling of high-value equipment. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inventory Management Receive incoming laboratory and industrial equipment shipments. Inspect items for accuracy, condition, and completeness against packing lists. Photograph and document equipment, including serial numbers and asset tags. Enter and update inventory data in internal systems with high accuracy. Label and organize equipment in designated warehouse locations. Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory audits. Equipment Handling & Processing Safely move, stage, and store equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling tools. Assist with basic equipment preparation, palletizing, crating, and packaging for resale or transport. Identify special handling requirements for fragile, sensitive, or regulated equipment. Maintain proper chain-of-custody documentation for high-value assets when required. Order Fulfillment & Shipping Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Coordinate with logistics providers for pickups and deliveries. Ensure accurate documentation, including bills of lading and shipping paperwork. Verify outgoing shipments for completeness and accuracy. Warehouse Organization & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Assist with warehouse layout optimization and workflow improvements. Support loading and unloading of trucks as needed. Qualifications Required Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to lift and move moderate-to-heavy equipment. Comfortable operating material handling equipment (forklift experience preferred). Basic computer skills for inventory system usage. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Preferred Experience handling laboratory or industrial equipment. Familiarity with shipping documentation and freight coordination. Forklift certification. Background in life sciences, equipment processing, or industrial warehouse environments. Key Competencies Attention to

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
