Material Handler - Poway - $23/hr Job Description This role supports a busy manufacturing and warehouse operation by safely operating forklifts, handling materials, and performing inventory transactions on the night shift. The material handler will move, stock, and kit materials, load and unload trucks, and use handheld scanners and ERP systems to ensure accurate and efficient inventory control. Responsibilities Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, including sit-down lifts and other material handling equipment as needed. Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled carefully and placed in the correct locations. Perform inventory transfers, stocking, and kitting activities to support manufacturing and warehouse operations. Use handheld RF scanners to record and track inventory movements accurately. Enter and update inventory transactions in the ERP system, with NetSuite experience considered a plus. Stage materials for production and ensure that required components are available in the right place at the right time. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse and manufacturing spaces. Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines when operating equipment and handling materials. Collaborate with team members and communicate any inventory discrepancies or material issues promptly. Essential Skills Current or recent forklift operating experience, including sit-down lifts. Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Experience using handheld RF scanners for inventory tracking. Background in warehouse or manufacturing operations. Ability to perform inventory transfers, stocking, and kitting tasks accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe material handling. Ability to work the night shift schedule from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification promptly. Experience operating large sit-down forklifts, including units up to 30,000 lbs, is a strong plus. Experience with bendy lifts and cherry pickers is highly beneficial. ERP system experience, with NetSuite knowledge considered a significant advantage. Previous experience in a busy manufacturing or warehouse setting. Work Environment This position is based in a busy manufacturing and warehouse facility in Poway. The role is fully on-site and involves working in an active industrial environment with frequent forklift traffic, truck loading and unloading, and ongoing production activity. You will regularly use forklifts, handheld RF scanners, and an ERP system, potentially including NetSuite, to complete your tasks. The standard schedule is a night shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., requiring comfort with standing, walking, and operating equipment throughout the shift in a dynamic warehouse setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
