The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the shipping and receiving process, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks. Assist in order picking and packing processes to ensure timely shipment of products. Operate RF scanners for inventory management and tracking purposes. Maintain a clean and organized work area to adhere to safety standards set by OSHA. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve efficiency. Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as cranes and forklifts to ensure operational safety. Support other warehouse functions including materials handling, shipping & receiving, and general maintenance as needed. Requirements Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks. Knowledge of warehouse management systems for efficient order processing. Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift. Experience with order picking processes and materials handling techniques. Understanding of safety regulations related to warehouse operations (OSHA compliance). Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
