POSITION SUMMARY
Verifies and maintains records for both incoming and outgoing shipments while also preparing items for shipment. Responsible for inventory movements and transactions, as well as the kitting process, which involves assembling and packaging a collection of medical device components and parts for the production team. Applies basic skills while developing some specialized skills in procedures, operations, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment appropriate to the area of specialization. Performs routine and/or repetitive tasks and has some experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment, particularly in kitting and labeling. Operates within specific limits of established procedures and/or defined instructions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Receives, inspects, and assembles parts, medical subassemblies, final assemblies, and disposable subassemblies. Picks raw materials for open work orders and processes transactions. Cleans raw materials according to drawings. Packages outgoing goods in a safe and secure manner. Processes shipments in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines. Follows written procedures, unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reports damaged items, records shortages, and coordinates with Purchasing to resolve discrepancies. Routes non-inventory items to departments. Organizes, labels, and places inventory materials in appropriate locations. Performs data entry and maintains accurate records for shipping and receiving documents, as well as warehouse transactions. Verifies computer reports before forwarding them to the appropriate department. Performs cycle counts and reconciles variances. Identifies root causes of variances and implements solutions. Organizes the stockroom for better efficiency. Performs other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, shipping, and stockroom experience, preferably in a manufacturing or biomedical environment. Fluency in English is required, with excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently. Ability to lift and push up to 50 pounds. Basic computer knowledge. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Requires basic math skills, including the ability to compute ratios, percentages, and rates. Familiarity with GMP and FDA requirements is a plus.
