Warehouse Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position requires flexibility with working hours and the ability to work mandatory overtime when necessary. This role involves working in a facility with temperatures ranging from 40 to 60 degrees, so bringing a jacket is advised. Responsibilities Prep and assemble products to specification. Comply with HACCP-plan and food safety requirements. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Ensure cases and pallets are configured safely and in accordance with standards. Maintain scheduled production to meet team business goals. Maintain regular and consistent punctual attendance. Notify management of any potential food safety or quality issues. Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Exhibit attention to detail. Understand written and verbal policies and guidelines, specifications, and safety standards. Work overtime as required, even on short notice. Work on a flexible schedule based on production needs. Perform basic math tasks. Operate manual and automated processing equipment. Communicate to management when there is an issue, whether work-related or personal. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Attention to detail. Understanding of written and verbal policies and guidelines, specifications, and safety standards. Ability to work overtime as required. Basic math and English skills. Effective communication skills for reporting issues to management. Strict adherence to safety, food security, and GMP. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor, packaging, food production, food manufacturing, or the food industry. Forklift operation skills. Ability to perform heavy lifting. Work Environment This role is based in a bakery environment where some areas are colder and others are warmer, requiring comfort with GMP standards. The work schedule is flexible with a start time that may vary up to 2 hours before or after the designated time, and overtime may be required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
