Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Yard Associate for a local equipment retailer. This role is an outside, all day, manual labor type of position. The ideal candidate will play a vital part in maintaining safety standards, ensuring accurate stock handling, and supporting overall yard operations. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the yard. Assist with preparing orders and loading those orders for deilvery. Assist with receiving equipment rental operations. Inspecting returned equipment for damages and documenting. Cleaning equipment in wash station using pressure washer. Handle materials with care during stocking, heavy lifting, and materials handling tasks to prevent damage and ensure safety compliance. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily operations, including load & unload procedures and order fulfillment. Maintain adherence to OSHA safety standards by following proper procedures for heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Painting slip-resistant coatings with paint roller onto road plates. Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, inventory management, or related roles. Proficiency in operating forklift. Ability to lift 50+lbs. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing, and order fulfillment processes. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance is a plus but not required. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, or stoop for extended periods of time.
