Job Description About the Role The Huntington Store E-Commerce Warehouse Associate is an essential logistics team member who is at the heart of our customer experience•ensuring that every online order is picked accurately, packed with care, and shipped on time. They will also play a key role in keeping our inventory organized by receiving and processing new stock as it arrives. The role requires a blend of physical stamina, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and politely both verbally and in writing. This person will be a flexible collaborator who contributes to a harmonious team environment and to The Huntington Store's revenue and growth. S/he/they will demonstrate a background of working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, geographic and socioeconomic backgrounds, using a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible approach.
Essential Duties Order Fulfillment:
Picks products for orders from warehouse or store based on digital or printed pick lists and packs them securely for shipment.
Shipping and Labeling:
Weighs and labels orders using our shipping software to generate carrier labels and transports packages to the mailroom for timely shipping within 24-48 hours.
Customer Service:
Provides excellent customer service. Promptly responds to all inquiries regarding the webstore and in-store pick-up orders via e-mail and/or telephone.
Inventory Receiving:
Unload incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and report any discrepancies or damages. Apply price/barcode labels to received merchandise as needed.
Stock management:
Organize and "slot" new inventory into designated locations to ensure a smooth picking process.
Quality Control:
Conduct brief inspections of items during the picking process to ensure customers receive only high-quality products.
Organization:
Maintains shipping supplies inventory and initiates supply requests in a timely fashion, anticipating periods of elevated sales orders.
Record Keeping:
Keeps accurate and up-to-date files on customer sales. Works with Retail Business Development Manager to keep e-commerce information accurate to guarantee customer satisfaction upon delivery.
Inventory Management:
Notifies Retail Operations Manager when inventory counts are found to be incorrect.
Communication:
Notifies management when assistance is needed during periods of increased order volume. On occasion, this role helps with moving products from one location to another for special merchandising displays including store-related events. Participates in annual store physical inventory
Safety and Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to comply with safety regulations and operating equipment such as dollies and pallet jacks. May perform other related duties as assigned Candidate Requirements and Experience Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Education:
minimum of high school diploma or GED required Technical proficiency: Familiarity with Shopify and/or ShipStation software. Basic computer skills for data entry; familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel, and preferably Teams). Comfortable using handheld scanners, tablets, and basic shipping software.
Speed & Accuracy:
You take pride in being fast but understand that getting the order right is the top priority. Attention to
Detail:
Critical for accurately picking and packing orders, assigning shipping labels properly, and identifying damaged or defective items before packing
Communication:
Strong verbal and written skills are needed to provide exceptional customer service, and to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
Adaptability:
Must have ability to work with consistent accuracy even when business requires work to be performed at a quickened pace.
Organization:
Must be capable of organizing files and work area.
Customer Service:
Exceptional customer service; handling heavy customer traffic while remaining accurate, tactful, and courteous.
Physical:
Strength and mobility necessary to pack orders, lift and carry heavy (50 lbs. or more) boxes and other objects on occasion. Able to manipulate hand trucks and book carts loaded with several boxes 50 lbs. or more each.
Preferred:
Previous warehouse, retail, or e-commerce fulfillment experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person. Working Conditions Works primarily in the Store's warehouse, but tasks will occasionally take place at other locations on campus. Works with equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and carts. Shifts often include overtime during peak seasons. Will be lifting and carrying boxes and merchandise. Transports merchandise across grounds using hand trucks and book carts and, if authorized, motorized vehicles. Ability to stand for long periods, walk extensively, and lift moderately heavy objects— up to 50 pounds individually and heavier with the assistance of additional team members
Schedule:
Hours for this full-time position are Sunday•Thursday from 7:30 am•3:30 pm. Compensation & Benefits We provide competitive compensation, generous benefits and perks for all eligible employees including:
