Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler/Quality Assistant to support our Quality team by managing the flow, control, and disposition of nonconforming materials. This role is responsible for coordinating Material Review Board (MRB) activities, maintaining accurate inventory and traceability, and ensuring timely processing of discrepant materials. You'll play a key role in identifying issues, supporting corrective actions, and helping the team meet quality and performance targets. Key Responsibilities MRB & Nonconformance Management Manage and track Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely updates and communication with cross-functional teams. Maintain accurate records and material movement within the ERP/MRP system to ensure traceability and compliance. Create and release evaluation and rework jobs to production with complete and auditable documentation. Monitor open MRB items, escalate issues as needed, and drive timely resolution. Analyze data related to rework, scrap, and replacement trends to support continuous improvement. Partner with Production, Assembly Leads, and other teams to resolve nonconforming material efficiently. Material Handling & Inventory Control Oversee the handling, storage, and segregation of nonconforming materials to ensure proper identification and prevent unintended use. Maintain an organized MRB area, ensuring materials are clearly labeled and controlled. Coordinate material movement, including staging, kitting, inspection, rework, and return-to-vendor (RTV) processes. Support vendor returns by preparing materials, documentation, and shipments. Collaborate with Purchasing and other teams to ensure timely closure of supplier-related issues. Assist with cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy for MRB materials. Quality Support & Collaboration Assist in identifying and evaluating discrepant materials for inspection and investigation. Work closely with Quality Engineers and leadership to improve MRB processes and workflows. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with MRB processes, NCRs, and material flow. Familiarity with inspection of precision parts and handling customer returns is a plus. Technical Skills Experience using ERP/MRP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with precision measuring tools is a plus. Skills & Abilities Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
