Material Yard Specialist/ Loader

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the yard operations within a distribution center, ensuring that all materials are handled efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, as well as the ability to operate various equipment. Duties Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling and storage. Operate forklifts, skip loaders to move products within the yard. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. While loading Customers, must have positive attitude and be able to work well with customers. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues. Assist in organizing the yard layout for optimal space utilization and accessibility. Support order picking processes by preparing items for shipment and ensuring accuracy in orders. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions Qualifications Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred. Proficiency in operating forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Have a strong will to be a self motivator.
