Job Description
Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California . Overview This role involves physically handling materials within a warehouse environment, following safety guidelines, and utilizing handling equipment to move materials efficiently. Responsibilities Load and unload materials within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move materials to and from aircraft, trucks, trains, and within the storage facility. Follow instructions and adhere to safety and warehouse guidelines. Learn and navigate proprietary SAP programs. Lift up to 35 pounds and spend the majority of the shift on your feet moving materials. Perform duties in accordance with established practices and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 0-2 years of experience in warehouse operations or related area. Knowledge of standard warehouse practices and procedures. Must be detail-oriented and capable of following instructions precisely. Comfortable learning new technical systems like SAP. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 35 pounds. We thank all applicants for their interest.
