Purpose of Role:

Flat World Global Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. Every day we provide our customers in the transportation industry with the tools they need to compare rates, keep track of goods throughout the entire life cycle of a shipment, increase efficiency, and most of all - maintain a competitive advantage in the market!

What you will be doing:

Pull parcel orders using pick list and stage for pick-up, separated by carriers Load carriers, once all orders are prepared and ready to load Carriers must sign for actual piece counts. Do not allow SLAC notations Assist carriers with stacking outbound orders on pallets and wrapping and labeling Keep warehouse organized and clean, trash emptied, and floors swept All product in the warehouse must be cleaned frequently, especially prior to shipping Answer phone calls, when available or ensure that phones are covered or forwarded. Printing on-going reports as needed. Maintain a safe environment in the warehouse, keeping aisles free and clear and allowing for safe access to all fire extinguishers. All hazmat must be staged in their designated areas Close up and secure entire facility, turning off lights, setting security alarm and locking up at end of day Requirements, Skills and Physical demands: Authorization to conduct a criminal background check is required for any applicant who is under final consideration for the position Attention to detail is a MUST! Ability to use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems Strong work ethic with proven reliability, punctuality and ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds Ability to perform physical activities that require frequent standing, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, etc. for a full 8-hour shift What would be nice to have or your willingness to learn: One year or more of forklift experience Prior warehouse and/or logistics background with some office setting experience Ability to use Microsoft Office What's in it for you?
