Job Description

Position Title:
Materials Handler A shift (Monday - Wednesday 4:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Compensation and Benefits:
Wage range is $20.00- $23.00 Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, 401k with 4% company match, sick and vacation leave
Position Summary:
The Materials Handler is an integral role within the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse team whose primary duties include distributing materials, supplies and finished goods to designated locations in Bobo's production area and warehouse, while accurately tracking these movements in the Company's inventory control system. This position assists in all aspects of inventory control for the facility, to include receiving materials, distributing supplies, product slotting, returns activities, and inventory accuracy verification. This position will be cross-trained in all functions of the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse duties to support the team where needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow safety policies and protocols; alerting others regarding potential concerns. Uphold highest standards of food safety and product quality through observance of allergen protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices; promptly report food safety and quality issues as necessary Assure raw materials and packaging are properly staged for production runs each day and returned to inventory at completion Assure finished goods are located and slotted properly in warehouse Assist with execution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly stock takes, communicating stock take issues to Inventory Supervisor Perform cycle counts of Raw Materials and Packaging as assigned by Inventory Supervisor Report inventory discrepancies to Inventory Supervisor Assure adherence to all established receiving, traceability and quality assurance procedures and specifications Assure inventory accuracy to KPI standards Follow verbal and written procedures and SOPs, and record alphanumeric data as necessary Load and unload trucks, and receive shipments in ERP system as necessary Maintain a clean work area, performing light janitorial tasks as needed Foster a positive culture of respect and teamwork by treating coworkers with dignity and striving to exemplify the Bobo's values: Collaborative, Adaptable, Passionate, Perseverant, and Fun-Loving Perform other assigned tasks, as needed Reliable attendance and punctuality are a necessary requirement of this position Marginal Duties performed less frequently: Learn and understand established metrics for department success Work overtime occasionally, as needed
Qualification Summary:
Ability to operate forklift (sit-down and stand-up), hand truck, pallet jack & other warehouse equipment preferred Previous warehousing, manufacturing and/or food handling experience Proficient computer skills-Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), and ERP systems Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to actively identify and prioritize work responsibilities Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working collaboratively within small and large, diverse teams, as well as ability to work independently Comfortable with fast-paced and dynamic work environment Education /
Experience Desired:
Prior experience with food processing and/or warehousing desired Experience operating RF Scanners preferred HS Diploma or equivalent Language / Mathematical /
Reasoning Ability:
Must have fluent ability to understand, read, write, and speak English, clearly and effectively Must be able to follow documented procedures, may be written in English only Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an asset May be asked to use simple mathematic equations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division) Basic mathematical skills in weights, temperatures, times and general numbers
Supervision Given:
The Materials Handler reports to the Inventory Supervisor The position holder is expected to be able to work with minimal oversight, able to confidently handle situations on their own.

The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to have the ability to drive a motor vehicle, and communicate using a two-way device.
Additional physical demands include:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs Standing on feet for long periods of time Ability to operate hand and powered tools Ability to operate a forklift
