Job Description

Distribution Operator Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Distribution Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and safely operating warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Pick and prepare customer orders accurately for shipment. Verify outgoing shipments for correct quantities and product specifications. Receive incoming materials and inspect for damage or shortages. Report discrepancies, damaged goods, and inventory issues to management. Complete shipping documentation and small package processing for carriers such as UPS and FedEx. Warehouse Operations Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, store, and transport materials. Utilize barcode scanners and inventory systems to track product movement. Organize finished goods and incoming materials according to warehouse locations. Perform routine forklift inspections and basic maintenance. Repack damaged products according to established procedures. Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventories. Safety & Quality Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report unsafe conditions or hazards immediately. Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free work area. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all product safety and quality standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, distribution, shipping/receiving, or related experience preferred. Forklift experience required; certification is a plus. Experience using barcode scanners, inventory systems, and warehouse technology. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Schedule Requirements Must be flexible to work scheduled hours, including weekends as needed. Reliable attendance is essential. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift. Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
