We have an opportunity for a Temp to Perm Turret Logistics Material Handler 1st shift to join our Apopka, FL team. You will be responsible for shipping, receiving, and internal material movement for both inbound and outbound operations. This role supports distribution flow, inventory accuracy, and safe material handling within the warehouse and manufacturing environment You will: Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including Turret trucks (VNA - Very Narrow Aisle), Reach trucks (stand-up), Stand-up and sit-down counterbalance forklifts, Order pickers / cherry pickers, & Electric pallet jacks Safely transport materials between receiving, storage, and production areas. Read and interpret production tickets, customer orders, work orders, and shipping documents to determine material handling requirements. Pick, stage, and distribute materials in accordance with PFEP (Plan For Every Part). Maintain inventory organization by storing materials on racks, shelves, or in designated bin locations. Deliver materials to production lines on a defined schedule to support operational efficiency. Train and mentor new team members on equipment operation, processes, and safety expectations. Rotate forks and carriage independently from the truck body to access product without repositioning the truck. Accurately place and retrieve materials from high-density storage locations while maintaining strict safety and clearance requirements. Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure safe operating conditions at all times. Perform daily 5S activities to maintain organization and cleanliness. Support inventory accuracy through proper transactions and system updates. Utilize wire or rail guidance systems (where applicable) to maintain precise travel within narrow aisles.
Key Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or manufacturing experience. Experience operating stand-up reach trucks required (Pentair certification required prior to operation). Turret truck/VNA experience preferred. Basic math and computer skills. Understanding of inventory control processes and material flow. Experience with inventory systems and data entry. Familiarity with manufacturing or warehouse management systems. Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written). Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50lbs. Steel toed shoes are required on the manufacturing floor.
Shift/Hours:
1st shift: 5:30am- 3:30pm Monday - Friday Occasional Overtime, as required This position is temporary with the potential to go permanent
Compensation:
The hourly pay for this role is: $18.25/hr. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training.
