Job Description

The Loader position works with other loading/production staff throughout the warehouse to ensure orders are loaded accurately and of proper quality. Fully versed in all aspects of the duties of the loading department, they ensure all trucks are loaded in a timely and accurate manner. As a Team Member at Tri County Metals 1.Team Member Development, Growth, & Engagement. a.

Teach "The TCM Way" by your attitude, your actions, and your words. c. Commit to following our Standard Operating Procedures and Team Member Handbook 100% of the time. d. Complete your required amount of monthly training. e. Follow the Team Member process by participating in monthly one-on-ones, quarterly touch-bases and annual assessments with their lead/leader of their team in which you collaborate to develop and execute a growth plan to "better their lives and increase their value to TCM." 2. Implement improved operating rhythm to drive employee engagement and development. a. Attend the Weekly Level 10 Team Meetings. b. Participate and receive the required amount of monthly training per Team Member. Expectations for your Role 1. Safety and Engagement a. Follow all safety procedures, equipment manuals and all required safety measures for work in a warehouse environment. b. Maintain and clean your assigned equipment daily; forklift and workstation. c. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of any obstructions. d. Report any tool/equipment issues to Team Lead. e. Ensure pre-operations inspections are being completed, and any issues are reported to Team Lead and Maintenance. f. Timely near miss and incident reporting. g. Ensure Team Member compete 100% OTC of assigned safety training. h. Engagement measurements i. Participation in toolbox conversations ii. Number of safety observations reported through Bright Idea submissions i. Proper PPE is being used at all times. j. Number of issues addressed via the safety committee. k. Quickly report accidents and injuries following all safety and emergency procedures. Note all details surrounding these events and report to Team Lead. 2. Productivity. a. Maintain and clean your assigned equipment daily, forklift, cart, and workstation. b. Follow the Quality Control loading process, checking off of the Production Ticket. c. Ensure timely and accurate loading of all trucks and trailers. d. Assist with items delivered to the warehouse after hours, noting items received and confirming to the receiving department accurate reports of items received. e. Report any job packs that are damaged to your leader and assist in resolving the issue. f. Operate company trucks with 30-45-foot gooseneck trailer and semi with a 45' Flat Bed Trailer. g. The ability to read driver sheets and verify the sales order numbers on job packs match driver sheets. 3. Drive Customer Service Improvements via operating rhythm, leadership and measurables. a. OTC% > 99.75% Role Requirements 1. Skills Needed. a. 21 years old is required for driving purposes. b. Must have a Valid driver's license. c. Full and complete understanding of forklift, position, and duty of the loading position. d. Forklift certified. e.

Effective listener, communicator, and conflict resolution. g.

Must be able to work well in a team environment. h.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. 2.Education/Experience. a. High school diploma or equivalent.
