Gelato & Desserts is a manufacturer of authentic Italian gelato, sorbet, plant-based frozen desserts, and soft serve with national distribution in the foodservice and grocery/retail industries. We are looking for a Night Warehouse Freezer Operator to join our growing team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Follow & enforce GS Gelato's GMP, SQF, safety and sanitation regulations. Safely receive, and handle finished product between boxing and freezer departments. Clearly label pallets as inventory is counted and recorded. Responsible for maintaining live inventory counts of all finished goods produced using a scanner device. Correctly use scanners to while building orders for inventory purposes. Maintain daily inventory of finished goods on incoming verification tally and turn in daily to Freezer Supervisor. Maintain daily verification of all outgoing products shipped from the warehouse. Conduct visual inspection of all outgoing product to ensure compliance with company standards. Regularly work with Freezer Manager on inventory reconciliation; ensure inventory is accurate. Responsible for daily cycle counts of randomly selected items. Ensure that freezer is properly organized and cleanliness is well maintained. Keep hallway clear for boxing. Work with Boxing Department for products coming into freezer. Examine & inspect pallet tags, cases, pallet conditions & products prior to shipping. Ensure that FIFO is being properly executed to ensure shipping of older products first. Remove completed or defective products/materials & complete a waste log. Record product, packaging, & order information on specified forms and records. Maintain freezer & clear ice from fans; keep floor & loading dock clear to maintain safety. Load specified product orders onto trucks. All other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities Supports the organizational goals of the Company. Must pay close attention to detail. Ability to withstand cold temperatures for long periods of time. Pallet Jack and/or forklift experience preferred.
