Job Description

Description:
The Material Handler / PVC Operator is a dual-function role within the PVC fabrication shop, responsible for supporting both warehouse material handling operations and PVC fabrication activities. This position ensures materials are moved safely and efficiently while supporting the fabrication, assembly, and preparation of custom PVC products. The role requires hands-on production work, attention to safety, and the ability to move between fabrication and warehouse responsibilities throughout the workday.

PM Pay Range:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Requirements:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PVC Fabrication & Production Operate a chop saw to cut PVC and related materials to custom specifications Operate a CNC routing machine to fabricate materials in support of customer orders Assemble pre-built gates and fabricated PVC components Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and specifications Ensure all fabricated materials meet quality, accuracy, and safety standards Material Handling & Warehouse Operations Pick, pack, label, sort, wrap, and stage orders for shipment or customer pickup Move freight, stock, and materials between storage areas, production areas, loading docks, trucks, and containers Safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment in accordance with safety standards Load and unload trucks and shipping containers Transport and properly stack materials in designated storage areas Install protective materials such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent damage Record quantities of materials handled using production sheets or work tickets Safety, Quality, and Support Follow all established safety procedures and PPE requirements Maintain clean, organized equipment and inventory storage areas Carry tools and supplies to and from work areas as needed Provide excellent internal and external customer service Perform other related duties as assigned Ability to work overtime as required to meet operational needs Qualifications & Skills Prior experience in material handling, warehouse, manufacturing, or fabrication environments preferred Forklift experience (certification preferred or ability to obtain) Ability to safely operate hand tools and production equipment (training provided as needed) Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely Strong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork
