Shift:
1st / Day Position Summary The Warehouse Associate (Loader) is responsible for safely and efficiently loading products, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role supports food distribution operations in a cold storage setting while ensuring accuracy, safety, and product quality. Key Responsibilities Inspect and clean trailers prior to loading. Inspect products for shortages, damage, quality issues, or packaging deterioration and report findings to a supervisor. Load product onto trucks according to truck mapping and special instructions to ensure stability and prevent damage. Hand-load product onto trucks when required. Control dock door lights to safely signal truck positioning and departure. Safely operate material handling equipment (MHE), including stand-up Crown forklifts and pallet jacks. Complete forklift certification and follow standard operating procedures. Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs. Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and accurate product locations. Minimize product damage and shrink through proper handling and teamwork. Use RF scanners and warehouse systems safely and accurately. Report unsafe or unresolvable issues immediately. Follow all company policies, including attendance and code of conduct. Comply with all applicable regulations (OSHA, HACCP, and food safety standards). Support company food safety programs and best practices. Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned. Equipment Used Stand-up Crown forklift Pallet jacks RF scanning equipment Physical Requirements Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Work Environment Cold storage / refrigerated warehouse environment Food distribution setting Must be comfortable working in lower temperatures Required PPE Steel-toe boots Layered clothing appropriate for cold conditions Qualifications Previous warehouse or forklift experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and safety Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Important Notes Please have candidates report with steel-toe boots and dress warm.
