Job Description
LaSalle Bristol is a distributor of building products to the manufactured housing and recreation vehicle industry. We are looking for a full-time, motivated, self-starter to join our warehouse team in our Lakeland, FL location. Work is Monday - Friday. Employees will work in and help maintain a clean, organized warehouse. Warehouse workers facilitate the distribution of goods into, within and out of their warehouse and full cycle warehouse duties. They load and unload trucks, place goods in storage and move inventory as needed. These workers may use equipment such as hand trucks, ladders and forklifts to complete their work, and may wear protective equipment such as gloves. Generally, these employees work with a team of warehouse workers and truck drivers and report to a warehouse supervisor.
Responsibilities include:
- Receiving, storing, moving, picking and packing inbound and outbound goods and other items when received in/when being shipped out.
- Load and unload truck timely and efficiently.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies and adjust errors.
- Loading and unloading trucks, including staffing orders.
- Manually or mechanically load and unload material from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Employees will work and help maintain a clean, organized warehouse.
Requirements:
- Good attendance record and good work history.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities throughout the duration of the shift.
- Prior experience operating a forklift is highly desired.
- Able to lift 50-75 lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to stand on your feet for 8+ hours.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Ability to use equipment such as hand trucks, ladders and forklifts.
