GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Operate a non-CDL 26' box truck to construction sites. Must be able to lift and team lift with helper and ensure load securement. Deliver trim material, off-load items with accompanying paperwork, to customers along a predetermined delivery route in a safe and efficient manner. Management light paperwork. Ability to navigate using GPS safely and maneuver around active construction sites. Complete all required documents pertaining to delivery, pick-up, DOT and inventory management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Accuracy in direction to ensure deliveries completed in a timely manner. Gather appropriate paperwork for deliveries. Maintain cleanliness of vehicle. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage before and after route. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Must have and be able to maintain a valid Class C driver's license and a valid DOT Medical Certification is preferred. Acceptable 3 years DMV/MVR record. OSHA safety training upon hiring. Driver road test upon hiring. Basic math skills. Use and read a tape measure correctly.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Commercial delivery experience. DOT compliance. Safety measures in the residential construction field and in a warehouse. Safe lifting practices. Must live within 45 minutes of Panama City Beach.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Follow safe operating procedures. The ability to work independently, establish priorities and meet deadlines. Must be able to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Candidate must be able to safely climb in/out of box truck and safely load/unload material off the back of the truck. Must be organized with good communication skills. Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple team members. Physical ability to handle all trim materials and products including lumber, doors and millwork.

WORKING CONDITIONS HOURS / SHIFTS

40+ hours per week. Depends on jobs locations. Willing to work overtime as needed. HOURLY $23.00 /hr - starting pay with experience
