Job Description

Warehouse Worker Job Description This role involves building and packing customer orders, supporting final assembly manufacturing, and maintaining accurate warehouse inventory. You will work in a hands-on environment that requires regular lifting, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility for order accuracy and material handling. Responsibilities Build and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently to meet quality and delivery standards. Support final assembly manufacturing by preparing, organizing, and supplying required materials. Perform inventory maintenance, including counting and recording stock to ensure accurate inventory levels. Conduct regular and accurate inventory counts to prevent discrepancies and stock shortages. Pick and pack orders according to pick lists or work orders, ensuring correct items and quantities. Handle materials safely, including lifting items up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the shift. Assist with general warehouse inventory tasks such as stocking, organizing, and labeling materials. Perform basic mechanical tasks related to assembly or equipment operation, using mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor issues. Operate or assist with operation of warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, if trained and authorized. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in the warehouse and manufacturing environment. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience in picking and packing in a warehouse or similar environment. Experience with inventory control and warehouse inventory processes. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working around manufacturing equipment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking, packing, and inventory counts. Basic material handling skills, including order picking and packaging. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of forklift experience is a strong plus. Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar tools. Order packaging and warehouse packing operations experience. Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. Willingness to learn and support final assembly manufacturing processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and manufacturing environment, where temperatures may vary with the seasons. You will spend most of the day on your feet, performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling materials. The role involves working around warehouse and manufacturing equipment, and you will follow established safety procedures and guidelines appropriate for an industrial setting. Dress is practical and suitable for warehouse work, with appropriate footwear and safety gear as required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pensacola, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
