Job Description

Warehouse Associate Position Summary:
Kane's Furniture is seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team in a fast-paced furniture distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for key warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, quality assurance, and general warehouse operations , while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Applicants should be comfortable performing physical warehouse work including lifting furniture and loading or unloading delivery trucks as part of the daily workflow.

Key Responsibilities Move merchandise throughout the warehouse , transporting product between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers safely and efficiently Lift, carry, and position furniture and warehouse merchandise for storage and delivery preparation Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment and delivery routes Receive incoming shipments , count and verify items, and record inventory as required Inspect merchandise for damage or defects and report discrepancies Package, label, and tag merchandise before storage or shipment Prepare outgoing shipments and confirm orders are accurate and complete Complete shipping documentation and delivery manifests Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus, especially in furniture or heavy goods handling. Ability to regularly lift and maneuver furniture and materials weighing 150+ pounds , with or without assistance. Capable of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed. Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a 7-year criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Work Environment:
This role operates in a warehouse environment, with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions. Team-oriented setting requiring frequent communication and collaboration.
