Production / Operations Lead About Haddy Haddy's purpose is to bring a new sensibility to furniture manufacturing with reverence for people, passion, and the planet. We are revitalizing furniture manufacturing through local, sustainable, 3D printing microfactories. Role Overview The Post Processor / Material Handler supports daily manufacturing operations by preparing, moving, finishing, packaging, and shipping products and materials throughout the factory. This role is hands-on, physical, and quality-focused. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable working around machinery, and excited to learn in a modern manufacturing environment. This is a strong fit for someone with experience in warehouse operations, material handling, packaging, fabrication, carpentry, finishing, manufacturing support, shipping/receiving, or hands-on production work. Responsibilities Support post-processing of 3D printed furniture and parts. Move materials, parts, tools, assemblies, packaging, and finished goods throughout the factory. Assist with receiving, inventory movement, packaging, and shipping. Operate packaging machinery and help fabricate custom packaging. Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment as trained. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform basic quality checks and flag issues early. Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production priorities. Assist robotic operators, production leads, and other team members as needed. Lift, stage, wrap, label, and prepare products for storage or shipment. Help maintain smooth factory flow by keeping materials, tools, and work areas ready for production. Execute post-print breakdown and material recovery in accordance with recycling protocols. Conduct troubleshooting, upkeep, and maintenance of machinery within post processing/material handling. Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active manufacturing environment. Comfortable working around simple and complex machinery. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly. Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to help outside core responsibilities. Comfortable working in a multicultural environment with people of diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
Preferred / Trainable
Skills Warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience. Forklift or pallet jack experience. Packaging, fabrication, woodworking, carpentry, finishing, or furniture production experience. Experience using basic measuring tools. Prior manufacturing, assembly, or production floor experience. Interest in sustainable manufacturing, 3D printing, or new production technologies. What Success Looks Like Materials and parts are where they need to be before production bottlenecks occur. Products are handled safely and packaged with care. Work areas stay clean, organized, and production-ready. Quality issues are caught early.
