Dockhand & Orientation Specialist Gulf Stream Boat Club Tierra Verde, FL Job Details Part-time $16 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Referral program Qualifications Customer communication Boat handling Water transportation equipment maintenance Schedule management Attention to detail Mechanical knowledge Passenger safety Full Job Description Gulf Stream Boat Club is looking for a Dock Hand and Training/Orientation Specialist in Tampa, FL. This is a part-time, weekend role, Friday - Saturday with optional additional hours. As a Dock Hand you will assist members on their reservations, provide on-water orientations for new members, and maintain our fleet of premium boats. You should feel comfortable working directly with members and guests, demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail, and proficiency with boating, boater safety, and concierge-style customer service. You will also act as an ambassador of the Gulf Stream Boat Club brand.

About The Job Preparing boats for reservations - set up for the day Monitor daily reservation schedule (outgoing, incoming, turnarounds) Greet and assist members upon arrival Docking, driving, slipping, and refueling boats Washing/cleaning boats after members return Ensure guests are aware of, and feel confident with, all onboard safety equipment Performing necessary regular maintenance tasks (waxing, quick fixes, etc.) Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Skills
  • Knowledge of boats/boating industry and boater safety

  • Experience driving/docking/slipping boats
  • (Required)
  • Boat/marine maintenance experience (Preferred) Boat detailing skills and mechanical knowledge are a plus Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills Pay will be based on relevant experience.
Hourly wage + tips.
Schedule:
Must be available to work weekends. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays excluding Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • Candidates must have prior boating experience.
  • Familiarity with the boating/marine industry and boating safety is required.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
