Job Description

Exposed Fastener Roll-Form Operator Performance Expectations The Exposed Fastener Operator is responsible for making all respective 3' or 2' Wide orders for their respective machine based on which gauge/machine they are assigned. Once the job is completed, they are required to package and label each job and place them in the rack or holding areas until the customer arrives to pick up or the loaders arrive to load for the next day's deliveries. As a Team Member at Tri County Metals Team Member Development, Growth, & Engagement. Teach and use 6E's during every customer encounter. Commit to following our Standard Operating Procedures and Team Member Handbook 100% of the time. Complete your required amount of monthly training. Follow the Team Member process by participating in monthly one-on-ones, quarterly touch-bases and annual assessments with their lead/leader of their team in which you collaborate to develop and execute a growth plan to "better their lives and increase their value to TCM." Implement improved operating rhythm to drive employee engagement and development. Attend the Weekly Level 10 Team Meetings. Participate and receive the required amount of monthly training per Team Member. Expectations for your Role Safety and Engagement Follow all safety procedures, equipment manuals and all required safety measures for work in a warehouse environment. Maintain and clean your assigned equipment daily; forklift, Rollformer, and workstation. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of any obstructions. Report any tool/equipment issues to Team Lead. Ensure pre-operations inspections are being completed, and any issues are reported to Team Lead and Maintenance. Timely near miss and incident reporting. Ensure Team Member compete 100% OTC of assigned safety training. Engagement measurements Participation in toolbox conversations Number of safety observations reported through Bright Idea submissions Proper PPE is being used at all times. Number of issues addressed via the safety committee. Quickly report accidents and injuries following all safety and emergency procedures. Note all details surrounding these events and report to Team Lead. Productivity. Keep up on materials needed to complete orders; coil, plastic, printer paper, banding material & tools, and/or any other items needed to complete orders. Ability to upload cut lists via Eclipse and AMS programs. Able to manually enter cutting instructions into roll former, verifying proper cuts. With a new sales order verify and inspect coil and machine for correct color, gauge, profile, and number of stacks needed to complete each job based on weight. (2500 lbs. per stack). If the order is an add-on for an existing order, ensure that the color/spangle, gauge, options, and vendor match that previous order. Packaging and labeling of each job once they are complete. If their job is multiple stacks they need to be labeled as such (1/2 & 2/2 or 1/3, 2/3, & 3/3, and so on). Complete all orders by the scheduled completion time. Understanding Quality Control Standards and notifying management when products are not up to specifications. Ensure all orders are quality controlled check with our Quality Assurance process applied. Loading/Unloading. Responsible for unloading coils off delivery trucks and placing them in their correct area. Opening coils that are sealed with a grinder while using the proper PPE, i.e. face shield and gloves. Placing coils on the coil carts of the un-coilers so that orders can be run, before loading you need to verify the correct gauge, color, and width on coil needed for each job. Unloading job packs off the stands and placing them into the racks or on the floor for loading later. Customers will come in periodically to be loaded; operators need to assess what they will be loading the panels on, identify which order is to be loaded and load the panels accordingly. Drive Customer Service Improvements via operating rhythm, leadership and measurables. OTC% > 99.75% Waste < 2% Titan 1 > 16,000 LF Titan 2 > 11,000 LF Signature 3 > 12,000 LF Role Requirements. Skills needed. Full and complete understanding of each machine, position, and duty of panel shop. Forklift certification. Able to stand, stretch, bend, kneel, and sit for long periods. Knowledge of basic math like addition and subtraction. Able to read a tape measure. Able to identify the different colors of metal. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask with accuracy. Ability to learn products and proper installation knowledge. Team focused - Work well with other staff to get the desired results. Service-Oriented - Actively looking for ways to help people and processes.
