Gulf County Position Summary:
The general labor field encompasses a wide range of positions. This is a physical job with non-skilled, hands-on tasks, such as cleaning, moving or landscaping. You may operate equipment and machinery such as power tools. It includes the removal of debris from sites, unload materials and assist other workers as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cleaning and preparing construction sites Loading and unloading materials and equipment Digging trenches, raking, compacting, earth and backfilling holes Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties Desired Skills Read and comprehend written, verbal, or diagram form or plans Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form Knowledge of safe operation and use of hand and power tools Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Use and read a tape measure.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. 12 months Experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Requires knowledge of construction, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards We are an Equal Opportunity.
