The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately pulling, staging, and moving materials and finished goods to support production and shipping operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work at a steady pace, and a commitment to accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities :
Pull orders accurately from inventory based on pick tickets, work orders, or system-generated lists. Stage materials and finished goods in designated areas for production, shipping, or receiving. Verify pulled items against order documentation to ensure correct part numbers, quantities, and dimensions. Transport materials throughout the facility using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts or cherry pickers as applicable. Maintain organized and clearly labeled storage areas to support efficient inventory management. Assist with receiving, put-away, and cycle count activities as needed. Report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to the supervisor promptly. Keep work areas clean, safe, and free of hazards at all times. Follow all safety protocols and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and PPE requirements. Collaborate with production, shipping, and supervisory staff to meet daily fulfillment goals.
Experience and Skills:
Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret pick tickets, work orders, packing lists, and part drawings or labels. 3-5 years' Experience operating forklift or powered cherry picker Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire. RF scanner experience
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to order accuracy. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance. Ability to work at a productive pace in a fast-moving environment. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Positive attitude and strong safety awareness. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.
Physical Requirements Standing:
Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Fingering:
Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Talking:
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
Hearing:
Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels.
Repetitive Motions:
Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity. Sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 lbs. At times dusty due to the manufacturing aspect.
