Job Description Warehouse Operator (Level I, II, Sr.) Job Summary The Warehouse Operator plays a key role in supporting EV battery warehouse operations through the safe handling, movement, storage, and accurate tracking of battery packs and components. This position ensures efficient inventory management using warehouse systems, maintains compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and supports overall operational excellence. As experience increases, this role progresses from core operational execution to advanced troubleshooting, mentoring, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Safely handle, move, and store EV battery packs and components using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other warehouse equipment Operate scanners and inventory systems to accurately receive, track, and document incoming and outgoing materials Pick, pack, label, sort, and prepare materials for shipment or internal use Load and unload shipments, ensuring materials are stored in designated locations Perform inventory tasks including cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation support Conduct quality and safety inspections on incoming and outgoing materials Maintain accurate inventory records and follow standardized documentation processes Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE requirements and hazardous material handling procedures Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with operational standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support efficient warehouse operations (Advanced/Sr. Level) Investigate inventory discrepancies, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement process improvements (Sr. Level) Train and mentor team members on warehouse operations, safety practices, and systems Minimum Qualifications Warehouse Operator I High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years' experience in warehouse, logistics, or related experience Basic knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures Basic computer skills (email, data entry, scanning tools) At least 6 months of experience operating a forklift or moving large materials Ability to obtain hazardous materials certification Warehouse Operator II High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in warehouse, logistics, or related experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED. Working knowledge of warehouse equipment, processes, and inventory systems Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe) Experience with inventory tracking, shipping/receiving, and quality processes Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety practices and hazardous material handling Ability to obtain and maintain hazardous materials certification Sr. Warehouse Operator High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in warehouse, logistics, or related experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED and 3 years' experience. Strong expertise in warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving, inventory control, and material handling Forklift certification and advanced equipment operation experience Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to obtain hazardous materials certification Preferred Qualifications Warehouse Operator I Prior warehouse experience with knowledge of safety procedures Warehouse Operator II Associate degree or technical certification in logistics, supply chain, or related field Experience in high-volume or regulated warehouse environments (automotive, EV, manufacturing) Experience with inventory control processes, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution Familiarity with warehouse or inventory management systems (WMS, ERP, or similar) Hazardous materials handling experience or certification Sr. Warehouse Operator Degree or certification in logistics, supply chain, or related discipline Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or high-volume warehouse environments Advanced experience with material handling equipment Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems Current hazardous materials certification Physical Requirements Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, scanners) Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs., with occasional team-assisted lifting for heavier items Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and kneeling Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail Ability to work in environments requiring safe handling of hazardous materials and use of PPE Work Environment Warehouse-based role with varying environmental conditions Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, safety vest, hearing protection, and safety footwear Work includes loading docks, trailers, and material handling areas Minimal to no travel required Benefits Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
