Job Description

Material Handler Creative Plastics - Dalton, GA Monday-Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm Creative Plastics is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Material Handler (Forklift Operator) to join our Assembly team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and safe movement of goods within our warehouse and production areas. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and related equipment to load, unload, and organize materials while maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring product safety.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Load and unload materials in production and warehouse areas. Use handheld barcode scanners to track and update inventory. Perform product counts, tagging, weighing, and labeling. Wrap pallets using shrink wrap to prepare shipments. Assist with incoming and outgoing deliveries, including Bill of Ladings. Maintain equipment through routine safety checks and inspections. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in inventory systems. Support team operations with flexibility and a collaborative mindset. Follow all safety and operational procedures and attend training sessions.
Requirements:
Previous forklift and pallet jack operation experience (required). High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Familiarity with ERP systems and handheld scanners is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to work both independently and in a team setting. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
