Warehouse Associate

Merit Logistics is looking to hire Warehouse Associates to join in McDonough, GA!

Pay Rate:

$17.50 /hr. (paid weekly every Friday!) 2nd

Shift:

11 AM-Finish (~8 hours of work depending on season, could be more or less)

Qualifications:

Forklift Dependability Punctuality Ability to move and lift continuously (unload/load cargo in the distribution center) Must have reliable transportation to and from work Looking for team-oriented and hard-working individuals A positive attitude is always required Open to change and can work in a fast pace environment both as a team and independently Time management, organization, planning, and reporting skills The ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, without advanced notice The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities:

Unload/Load, process/breakdown, sort, and pick warehouse stock products, which weigh up to 75 lbs., throughout the shift (unload, label, sort, etc.). Assist in assembly line-style labor for product assembly, box making, and other tasks at the client's request Keep a clean and safe working environment. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers. Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment when necessary Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED

Accuracy

• Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. Communication
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work. Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions. Prior experience operating a forklift and electric pallet jack is a plus, but not required. Will train and certify associates holding positions requiring the use of such equipment.
