General Laborer - Oxford Campus Job Description Join a dedicated Operations and Maintenance team on a large university campus, where you will help maintain clean, safe, and well-kept facilities. In this role, you perform pressure washing and general maintenance tasks on campus buildings and grounds, working both indoors and outdoors to support the overall appearance and functionality of the campus. Responsibilities Perform pressure washing of campus buildings and exterior surfaces to maintain a clean and well-presented environment. Carry out general maintenance duties to support the upkeep and functionality of campus facilities. Assist with general labor tasks as assigned, including basic cleaning, organizing, and light facility support work. Support warehouse and inventory activities as needed, including handling, organizing, and tracking materials or supplies. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as required to support campus operations. Work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety and productivity. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks. Lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. Bend, stoop, twist, and perform other physical movements necessary to complete maintenance and labor tasks. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete assigned work orders and projects in a timely manner. Essential Skills Experience with pressure washing buildings or exterior surfaces. Background in general labor or general maintenance work. Willingness and ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Ability to bend, stoop, and twist safely throughout the workday. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to meet and clear all required compliance checks. Basic familiarity with warehouse inventory and shipping and receiving tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, warehouse, or groundskeeping environment. Comfort working on a large campus with multiple buildings and extensive outdoor areas. Reliability and strong work ethic in a structured, full-time schedule. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks with attention to detail. Why Work Here? Work Environment You work on a large university campus encompassing over 6 million square feet of facilities and grounds. The role focuses on common areas and campus buildings and does not require entering dorm rooms or private living spaces. You spend significant time outdoors in the elements, so comfort working in varying weather conditions is essential. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift. The environment is active and physical, involving regular lifting, bending, and movement throughout the day, as well as the use of pressure-washing equipment and basic tools to maintain campus facilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxford, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
