Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Cherry Picker operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing inventory, and ensuring the safe operation of specialized equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Your expertise will support seamless warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping, and receiving processes, and overall warehouse management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to safety standards, including OSHA regulations, and a commitment to maintaining high productivity levels. Duties Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment safely to pick, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. Able to multitask. Execute order picking accurately using various equipment, including pickers and pallet jacks, to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Manage inventory movement and storage using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate stock levels. Assist in shipping and receiving activities by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt while adhering to safety protocols. Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal operation; escalate mechanical issues as needed. Support warehouse distribution tasks by organizing materials for shipment and ensuring proper placement. Follow OSHA safety standards diligently during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve materials handling processes. Put-away experience, able to support different tasks. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements. Experience in shipping & receiving processes along with order picking techniques. Excellent materials handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting and safe load management. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or management is a plus.
