Full Job Description Job Description:
The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse operations, including the accurate and efficient picking, packing, receiving, put-away, cycle counting, and shipping of inventory. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling customer orders, and ensuring the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Put Away:
Unload incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips Inspect products for damage or discrepancies Accurately label and put away materials in designated storage locations Maintain organization of stock areas and ensure proper stock rotation
Picking & Packing:
Accurately pick orders using RF scanners or pick tickets Pack items securely and efficiently to ensure safe transit Label packages correctly and verify order accuracy before shipment Maintain packaging supplies and report low stock as needed
Shipping:
Prepare outbound shipments for various carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.) Generate shipping labels and complete all necessary documentation. Stage and load outgoing shipments according to schedule Ensure timely and accurate shipments of orders
Inventory Management:
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with complete physical inventory Investigate inventory variances and help resolve discrepancies Report stock shortages or overages to inventory control or management Ensure compliance with inventory storage standards and practices
General Warehouse Duties:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or carts (certification may be required) Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1+ year of warehouse experience preferred, but not required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods Basic computer skills and familiarity with RF scanners Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude If you are a dependable professional who takes pride in organization and efficiency, we'd love to hear from you!
