Full Job Description Warehouse Associate Job Description Position Summary:
Prepare materials for production. Operate forklift and other appropriate equipment to unload and move material and supplies to storage locations and production areas as needed. Set up and operate machines such as Skiver, PSA Laminator, Roller Press, or Plank Saw to cut and form foam products according to designs and specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate equipment used in the various production processes. Operate forklifts to move products within the warehouse.
  • Read and interpret job travelers, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machine set up and operation.
  • Clean cut pieces and parts to ensure they are clear of dust and particles.
  • Perform quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Audit material locations and compare to system locations, make corrections as necessary. Prepare, wrap and palletize products as appropriate for shipping.
  • Unload shipments required to complete the receiving process Perform thorough visual inspections to determine if product(s) are of acceptable quality. Verify that quantities on packing slip from vendor match delivered quantities. Document differences.
  • Sort and place received items in designated areas, according to predetermined sequence, which can include size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Ensure all materials and equipment are organized, used and stored properly.
  • Work safely without presenting any threat to self or others.
  • Keep materials and work area clean, organized and free from clutter, or any potential safety hazards.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.
  • Proactively seek out ways to help and support other areas outside of regular job responsibilities.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience operating a standard forklift (preferred), and ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Demonstrates a team mentality
  • Good time management skills Good communication, particularly listening skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility with work hours
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with production deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
