Join our dynamic team Hana Enterprises is recruiting for a Material Handling Laborer to join our team! $20.83 per hour $ 5.55 Health and Welfare Essential duties and responsibilities The Material Handling Laborer is responsible for performing physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Loading, unloading and delivery of furnishings and appliances to customers Receive furnishings into an organization and verify furnishings against service orders to ensure the accuracy of the delivery Responsible for the inventory shipments and notating any discrepancies Routing furnishings to storage location Assisting Appliance Technician in repairs and delivery Workers may use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring furnishings to an appropriate location Assisting in weekly forklift maintenance Cleaning and repairing furnishings Unloading furniture/appliances from shipping containers Ability to lift 75 Pounds Strong Customer Service Skills Required to perform inventory of property. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required 2 years specialized experience in DoD preferred Must have a valid driver's license Knowledge of standard warehouse loading and storage techniques required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted is required Ability to pass DoD background investigation required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Beginner to intermediate computer skills; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Ability to enter data accurately into databases Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with customers and other crew members Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc. Ability to follow a process Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management Ability to perform basic mathematical computations High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently Ability to multi-task.
