Job Description
Warehouse Associate Honolulu, HI 96819 $17.50 - $19.00 an hour - Full-time $17.50 - $19.00 an hour - Full-time This is a full-time, on-site position located in Honolulu, HI for a Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for assisting with unloading and loading products, picking loads within the freezer warehouse and verifying inventory. This position requires excellent organizational skills, memory and working under state regulations and P & E Foods policies. Overtime hours and starting at various early morning start times are required to successfully meet customers' needs. Job Duties Unload containers, palletize products and receive products for storage within the freezer. Pick and organize delivery loads for shipment in company vehicles Frequently lift, push, or move product that weights 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; frequently reach up to 72" to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart. Constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading products, and retrieving items from vehicles or trailers. Maintain sanitary conditions within the warehouse, dock and freezer. Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallets, forklifts and other equipment. As needed, will go along with a driver as an assistant for deliveries Basic knowledge of safety standards in warehouse operations Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics is a plus High school diploma or equivalent preferred Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience 1-2 years experience with forklifts and pallet jacks Pallet breakdown and hand cart delivery experience. Requirements Must be 21+ years of age. Valid Driver's License with a "clean" driving record (including no single DUI in the last 3 years and no multiple DUIs within the last 10 years). Submit to pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check, Physical Abilities Test). Associates must have the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. Professional Skills Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem resolution skills. Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision. Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures. Maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to safety, and customer relations. Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and the safety regulations. Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
